Artist Statement 

​Intrigued by subjects that convey lived experiences, the concept of time and emotional values, Ellis Thomas-Pam’s works of art create a calculated balance between observation and memory. This offers the chance for the artist to capture the subject in a state of flux between its structural integrity and emotional values, offering a fresh visual perspective on the chosen subject. Colour plays a crucial role, helping merge the elements of intrigue to combine drawing and expression into a combined language, creating new visual responses and designs that encapsulate every subject component for which the artist injects visually. Observing and processing the current way we take in information and the speed of the modern-day intrigues the artist. The need to compile as much information on the subject through their developed language reflects this in waves.
